Dufferin is a neighbourhood located south west of downtown Kamloops and north of the Trans Canada Hwy against Mount Dufferin. Southgate is known for being home to Thompson Rivers University and is located west of Kamloops city center.

Dufferin Real Estate

The neighbourhood of Dufferin is comprised of a combination of older and newer single-family homes as well as townhouses, duplex and condo developments. A newer subdivision in Dufferin is found on Copperhead Drive which is set up against Mount Dufferin. The newest area of Dufferin is the Hidden Trails development at the end of Pacific Way and is comprised of modern style homes set next to Kenna Cartwright Park. The Orabella development are modern style townhomes and are also located in this area. Hillside Lofts is a large condo development and there are duplex townhouses located close to Dufferin Elementary.

Dufferin Shopping Information

Dufferin/Southgate is located very close to Aberdeen in Kamloops which is home to Costco, Canadian Tire, Chapters, Aberdeen Mall and many other smaller retailers. Aberdeen Mall is the largest mall in Kamloops. Big Box stores including Costco, Canadian Tire, Hudson’s Bay, Marshall’s, Chapters, Staples and Sport Chek. Cascades Casino also includes three restaurants inside its gaming site.

Dufferin Schools

Dufferin/Southgate residents can attend Dufferin Elementary and secondary school students can attend either Sahali Secondary School or South Kamloops Secondary School.
