real estate for sale sign

Many people have been wondering how the Kamloops Real Estate market has been faring during the COVID-19 crisis and it is not all doom and gloom. While the number of Kamloops Homes for sale and units sold in April of 2020 was more than 50% lower, the median residential price slightly increased and the average days on market remained quite similar to that of April 2019. Considering the world economy virtually shut down for over 45 days so far, I would say that Kamloops Real Estate has played out as predicted.

The Kamloops Real Estate market has been constantly adapting to the stay at home restrictions imposed by the provincial and federal governments and has been utilizing video formats and 3d Matterport technology to ensure that buyers and sellers can continue to view properties virtually. As Kamloops Real Estate agents, we have been stepping up efforts to reduce contact during home viewings by leaving disposable gloves, hand sanitizer, masks and shoe covers at the front door. You can be assured that if you have a Kamloops home for sale, we are taking precautions. You can read my in-depth post here to learn more about the changes the Kamloops Real Estate industry has made over these last two months.

Looking ahead to May 2020, I am feeling the potential for positivity for the first time in over two months for the Kamloops Real Estate market. I have personally dealt with five offers this month already and it is only May 6th and I am sensing that local residents are ready to move forward with our new normal, however that will take shape for us here in Kamloops.
